2016 Sylvaner orange wine
This is a sophisticated orange wine.
The grapes are selected by hand to get the best quality from an old, small vineyard plot called Eppelsheimer Felsen.
Mash fermentation is performed. After three weeks, the grapes are pressed and the wine is stored in wooden barrels. A minimum amount of sulphur is added before bottling is used to stabilise the wine, which is unfiltered.
Fine tannins add structure to this wine. It impresses with a mouthfeel reminiscent of a red wine with aromas of tea, spices and wood.
5.9 gr/L acidity
Optimal drinking temperature is 10 degrees.
