2020 Barbera d'Alba DOC "Ansem", Cascina Ca'Rossa
The wine's name 'Ansem' means 'together' in the Piemontese dialect. The wine is perfect for getting together with friends!
Barbera d'Alba DOC Ansem from Cascina Ca'Rossa is made in Canale d'Alba, where the grapes are exposed in the south, south-west areas at a 200-250m hight. The grapes are hand-harvested in the third week of September.
The ageing of the wine takes place in stainless steel tanks. Thereafter the wine ages for some months in the bottle.
The nose is wide and charming, with dark berry scents, mirroring the wine's ruby red colour with purple shades. The taste persists in the mouth. The wine pairs well with savoury dishes, including pasta dishes, rice, soup and red meats. Medium-aged cheeses are also complimentary to Barbera d'Alba DOC Ansem.
Recommended temperature between 14-16 degrees.
